Aprobación definitiva del Polígono Industrial Aljoroque SR-1

Antas makes history: Final approval of the Aljoroque SR-1 Industrial Park.

Today is a historic day for our municipality. After more than three decades of negotiations, effort and perseverance, the Town Council of Antas has achieved the final approval of the Partial Plan of the Industrial Park Aljoroque SR-1. This milestone marks a before and after in the industrial, economic and urban development of the town, ending 34 years of uncertainty and opening a path full of opportunities for entrepreneurs, workers and neighbors.

A firm step into the future: Legal certainty and economic development

Since its construction in the 80’s and 90’s, the Aljoroque Industrial Park has been a key driver for the economy of Antas, housing more than 90 companies that generate employment and wealth. However, its lack of urban development regularization had limited its growth and consolidation. Now, with the final approval of the Partial Plan, Antas takes a firm step towards business stability, economic expansion and legal security for established companies and future investments.

The Mayor of Antas, Pedro Ridao Zamora, has expressed his satisfaction with this achievement: “Today is a historic day for our town. After 34 years and tireless work since 2019, we have managed to legalize our industrial estate, ensuring its development and the future of Antas. This achievement belongs to everyone: neighbors, entrepreneurs and workers who have trusted in this project.”

A decades-long struggle with a successful ending

Since its implementation, the Aljoroque Industrial Estate operated in a legal limbo, which prevented the expansion of facilities and the generation of more employment. The current Municipal Corporation, since its arrival in government in 2019, took on the challenge of overcoming the administrative and urban planning obstacles to regularize the sector. With this approval, the 16 hectares of the industrial estate are fully legalized, allowing a buildable ceiling of 63,578 m² and 318 parking spaces, including spaces for heavy-duty vehicles. In addition, this legalization will facilitate improvements in infrastructure and urban services, guaranteeing a modern and competitive industrial environment.

The Partial Plan has received all the favorable reports from the Junta de Andalucía and the State, culminating in an exemplary work of collaboration between Administrations and Companies. In an Extraordinary Plenary Session, the City Council approved the Industrial Land Management SR-1, in accordance with current regulations, including the strategic environmental statement and the registration of the Plan in the regional and municipal registers. Likewise, the green light was given to the Urban Management and Execution Agreement, ensuring the necessary resources to complete the urbanization of the sector.

A promising future for Antas

The definitive regularization of the industrial park is the starting point of a new era of growth for Antas. Existing companies will be able to consolidate their businesses with full legal security, and the municipality will be better positioned to attract new investments, promote employment and boost economic activity.

The Mayor has reaffirmed his commitment to the future of Antas: “This is just the beginning. We will continue working with passion and dedication so that Antas continues to grow and consolidate itself as an industrial and business reference in the region.”

Today, February 20, 2025, we celebrate a historic milestone: the Industrial Park Aljoroque SR-1 reaches its full legalization. A day in which the present and the future of Antas are written with letters of progress and development.
