We are pleased to announce that, on November 17th, in the framework of the Day of the Province of Almeria, we will receive the Medal of Culture of Almeria. This recognition, awarded by the Diputación de Almería, is a source of great pride and satisfaction for our people, as it highlights the efforts dedicated to protect, promote and enhance the value of the Argar culture, a fundamental civilization in our history and symbol of collective identity.
Since 2019, the municipal corporation has worked intensively on the development and implementation of the 2020-2030 Argar Plan, an initiative that seeks the conservation and dissemination of this unique heritage. Thanks to this commitment, we have managed to position the Argaric legacy of our region on the cultural map, obtaining in 2023 the Cultural Medal of Andalusia and now this prestigious award at the provincial level.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Diputación de Almería for this distinction and for its constant support in the dissemination of our culture, heritage and history. This medal is a recognition of the efforts of all those who have contributed to preserve and share the richness of the Argaric culture, and encourages us to continue working for the heritage that defines our community.
