Antas Town Council receives the visit of the Delegate of Culture of the Andalusian Government

Today we have received the visit of the Delegate of Culture of the Junta de Andalucía, Juan José Alonso, to our municipality. This meeting has been an invaluable opportunity to share and highlight the efforts to promote the Argaric culture and the preservation of our historical heritage.

The main reason for this visit was to see first hand our new interpretation center, soon to be inaugurated, as well as the Argaric houses and the Argar site. Accompanying the Delegate of Culture, we had the distinguished presence of: Ramón Ángel Montoya Noguera, SGP; Natalia Martínez López, Head of the Cultural Assets Service; Carmen Méndez Martínez, Head of the Cultural Institutions and Programs Service; Tania Fabrega García, Director of the Archaeological Museum of Almería; Maria Luisa García Ortega, Head of the Department of Museums and Assemblages. In addition, guiding this significant visit, were our Mayor Pedro Ridao Zamora, the Councillor for Culture and Heritage Pedro Rodriguez, the official chronicler of Antas Luis Artero and Luis Cano, member of the Argaric Council.

During the tour, the historical and cultural richness that defines Antas was shared, highlighting the actions carried out for the enhancement of El Argar. It was an enriching and positive day, where the commitment to preserve and disseminate our cultural legacy was evidenced.

The Town Council of Antas wishes to express its sincere gratitude to the Delegate of Culture and the Ministry of Culture of the Junta de Andalucía for their support and for honoring us with this visit. We recognize the inestimable value of their interest and commitment to the preservation and dissemination of our cultural heritage.

This meeting reinforces our ongoing commitment to the promotion of culture and heritage, fundamental elements that identify us as a community.
