From the City Council of Antas we celebrate the award given to Dr. Oswaldo Arteaga Matute by La Voz de Almería at the gala of the XIV Levante Awards in the category of “Associationism” for his commitment and outstanding participation as scientific director and part of the organizing committee of the International Symposium of the Argar in March 2022.
Dr. Oswaldo Arteaga, retired, and honorary assistant at the University of Seville, has contributed significantly to research in the field of archaeology. His academic career, titles and achievements make him an outstanding figure, he has held various teaching positions and has promoted diverse research. In addition to the symposium, he has proposed other initiatives for the recovery and promotion of the Argar archaeological site, which is a symbol and heritage of our municipality.
